Tailored to the receiving body

Visa systems, universities and banks each read a passport translation differently. Tell us where it is going and we match the spelling and format to that destination’s conventions.

01

Visa and entry

Passport information page translations for US, UK, Canadian, Australian and Schengen visa files, with the name spelling kept identical to the application form and DS-160-style systems.

02

University registration

Identity proof for registration at overseas universities, language-course enrolment and student card applications, normally with a translator’s declaration attached.

03

Overseas accounts and property

Identity verification for bank accounts, mortgages and mobile real-name registration abroad; some institutions require the translation to carry the agency stamp.

04

Notarisation and authentication

Passport attachments in powers of attorney, declarations and police-clearance notarisations, matched item by item with the notarial certificate.

Three bottom lines for passport translation

A passport number mixes letters and digits, and a single wrong character fails visa-system validation — the cost of rework far exceeds the translation itself. We never auto-fill from templates.

  • Passport number checked character by character, with letter O and digit 0 told apart explicitly
  • Place of issue and place of birth rendered to official usage, kept identical with the original
  • Name spelling, former names and endorsement information translated in full, never trimmed or beautified
  • Officially registered translation stamp and translator’s declaration; business licence copies attached on request
PROCESS · HOW IT WORKS

Four steps, all from your desk

A clear photograph of the information page is all we need — no originals. You approve the draft before stamping, we post the hard copy by courier and send the PDF at the same time.

01

Send the information page

Photograph or scan the passport information page, noting the purpose and the receiving body (embassy, university, bank or notary office).

02

Quote & confirmation

A price and turnaround within 30 minutes — per page for the information page only, per page for the whole book, with stamping included.

03

Translation & review

The translator works from the original and a second person checks the passport number, dates and endorsements before the draft comes to you.

04

Stamping & delivery

Typeset, printed and stamped with the official translation seal; hard copy shipped and PDF sent simultaneously, ready for submission.

Not in Shenzhen? We still handle it

Wherever you are in China, send a photograph of the information page by email or WeChat and keep the original — the PDF arrives first and the stamped hard copy is couriered to your city. Full process, pricing and courier rules →

FAQ · COMMON QUESTIONS

Passport translation Q&A

Does the whole passport need to be translated?
Usually only the information page — the page with the photo, name, passport number, issuing authority and validity period. Whether visa and entry-stamp pages are also required depends on the receiving body; if the whole book is needed, tell us in advance and we charge per page.
My passport was reissued. Can I keep using the old translation?
No. The passport number and validity period have changed, so the old translation no longer matches the new passport. After a reissue, please order the translation again from the new passport.
The English name on my passport differs from the pinyin on my ID card. How is this handled?
The passport governs, because international travel and visa systems rely on passport data. We note in the translation that the passport spelling governs, so the receiving body has no reason to question the difference.
Can a foreign national’s passport be translated into Chinese?
Yes. Foreign nationals applying for a China work permit, residence permit, degree verification or a bank account often need the passport information page translated into Chinese; we prepare it to the format Chinese receiving bodies expect.
Does the translation also need notarisation?
In most cases no — a translation bearing our official translation stamp is sufficient. If the receiving body explicitly requires a notarised translation, the notary office performs the notarisation; we can supply a draft that meets the notary office’s format requirements.
