USE CASES · WHERE IT IS ACCEPTED

Tailored to the receiving body

A household register translation rarely travels alone — it usually accompanies the birth or marriage certificate, and the information must corroborate across the whole set.

01

Visas and immigration

Proof of family relationships and registered address, usually submitted together with the birth and marriage certificates, with the information corroborating across all three.

02

Children’s enrolment abroad

Proof of guardianship and home address; some district registrations and boarding schools require a stamped translation.

03

Inheritance and property

Key material proving the relationship between heirs and the deceased; registration authorities check the member information page by page.

04

Kinship notarisation

The household booklet attachment when a notary office processes a kinship notarisation, with the wording kept consistent with the notarial certificate.

The relationship column is what makes or breaks the translation

The “relationship to householder” column decides whether a kinship claim is accepted — misrender one term and the whole file can be returned. We translate the column exactly as printed, in the expression the receiving country uses.

  • Whole booklet translated page by page — no member page or change record omitted, original page order kept
  • Relationship-to-householder rendered in the expression current in the receiving country, with the original in brackets where helpful
  • Household number, ID numbers and dates of birth checked digit by digit, kept consistent with the ID card translation
  • Unclear handwriting or stamps confirmed with you before finalising; officially registered translation stamp applied
PROCESS · HOW IT WORKS

Four steps, all from your desk

Clear photographs of the pages are all we need — no originals. You approve the draft before stamping, we post the hard copy by courier and send the PDF at the same time.

01

Send the pages

Photograph or scan the cover page, householder page and the member pages needed, noting the purpose and which family members must be covered.

02

Quote & confirmation

A price and turnaround within 30 minutes, charged per page with stamping included at no extra cost; rush orders are scheduled first.

03

Translation & review

The translator works from the original and a second person checks the household number, ID numbers and relationship columns before the draft comes to you.

04

Stamping & delivery

Typeset, printed and stamped with the official translation seal; hard copy shipped and PDF sent simultaneously, ready for submission.

Not in Shenzhen? We still handle it

Wherever you are in China, send photographs of the pages by email or WeChat and keep the original — the PDF arrives first and the stamped hard copy is couriered to your city. Full process, pricing and courier rules →

FAQ · COMMON QUESTIONS

Household register translation Q&A

Which pages of the household register need translating?
Usually the cover page (with household number, address and issuing authority), the householder page and the applicant’s own page. Where the purpose is to prove kinship, the member pages of the relevant family members are also translated. Translating the whole booklet is the safer option and avoids requests for further documents.
I am on a collective household and have no booklet. What can I provide?
A collective household registration card or a domicile certificate issued by the police station works just as well; we translate and stamp it to the same format. If you only have a photocopy, please make sure the stamps and text are legible.
The address on my household register differs from my ID card. Is that a problem?
It can be. Receiving bodies compare addresses for consistency. Where the difference comes from a move, we recommend supplying the domicile certificate or change record as well, and the translation reflects the facts exactly.
How are kinship terms rendered accurately?
Each relationship column is translated as printed, using the expression current in the receiving country, with the original kept in brackets where helpful. We never render a niece as a daughter — that would make the file inaccurate.
Does the household register translation have to be stamped?
For formal purposes such as visas, notarisation and school enrolment, the translation normally needs the translation agency’s stamp and a translator’s declaration. We issue translations bearing our officially registered stamp and can attach business licence copies.
